Raffi Cavoukian, C.M., O.B.C. (Chair) Singer, author, founder of Child Honouring. Known to millions simply as Raffi, a renowned Canadian songwriter and performer. A global troubadour with two honourary degrees, the Order of Canada and the UN’s Earth Achievement Award. Member of the Council of Human Development and the Club of Budapest.
Philip J. Landrigan, MD MSc, FAAP Pediatrician and international leader in public health, Dr. Landrigan is the Ethel H. Wise Professor and Chairman for the Department of Community and Preventive Medicine and Professor of Pediatrics at Mount Sinai School of Medicine, and Director of the Children Environmental Health Center, New York.
Karen Kraft Sloan Member of Parliament from 1993 to 2004, a leader in the National Children’s Caucus, environmental awareness and championing sustainability. Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of the Environment from 1996 to 1998. Appointed Canada’s Ambassador for the environment in 2005.
Erin Porter Principal of Salt Spring Centre School, mother of three children. With a Masters in Elementary Education, Erin teaches primary and a Montessori math program along with her principal duties.
Bert Simpson (Secretary) Senior Associate, Troubadour Music. Formerly a primary teacher and consultant in inner-city Toronto schools, involved with Raffi and his music since 1976. Current work includes communications, marketing, contracts, and creative development.
Judi Wilson (Treasurer) Administrative Assistant, Troubadour Music for the past eight years. Roots of Empathy facilitator, school secretary on Mayne Island, BC.
